Silver City Watershed Keepers Calendar

Upcoming Events

March 7, 2012: The next Silver City Watershed Keepers monitoring event will be held on Tuesday, March 7th from noon till 3pm. Please meet at the Silver City Farmer's Market area between 7th and 8th street along the Big Ditch Park. We look forward to seeing you there!!

Past Events

November 2, 2010: First Silver City Watershed Keepers volunteer event. Volunteers were trained to use monitoring equipment and record data and given a backround on the features of the Silver City watershed and San Vicente creek.

March 1, 2011: With about ten volunteers the Silver City Watershed Keepers monitored three sites along San Vicente Creek. With the help from Dave Menzie of the New Mexico Environment Department and Van Clothier of Stream Dynamics, the group measured a cross section in the Big Ditch. With the measurement of the cross section we will now be able to use the crest gauge at the site to measure flow.
